A Vintage Storytelling Pannel Bracelet

Antique, 100+ years.

An inspiration piece releasing from my personal collection.

Secure clasp and excellent condition.

Sterling silver, tested, tightened, cleaned.

Size: 7 1/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches.

Would best fit a small/medium (schmedium).

For reference, my wrist measures 5.5” (sm). It is a bit too large for comfortable daily wear on me (however, that never stopped me).

Highly satisfying, heavy silver jingling sound when wearing.

There is no maker’s mark on this vintage pictorial storytelling panel bracelet, however, after extensive research, I have come across other works featuring the same panels by Florentine silversmiths Peruzzi. This panel was featured in their work from 1879–1915.

This bracelet is solid sterling silver. It is stamped “sterling” on the clasp — despite one of the panels having a barely noticeable 800 mark, they have all been tested and are all solid 925 sterling silver.

We can assume the artist created each highly detailed panel in wax and made a mold of the panel. The panel marked 800 silver was probably originally made to be used in a belt, the maker reusing the panel in this sterling bracelet. This bracelet tells more than just the mythical story in the picture, but also an unspoken story of its creation in one of the oldest silversmithing workshops in Italy.
